Summer Body ready ?….

Have you noticed? Once you hit 40, losing weight becomes harder and harder…..
Why???…..this is because once we turn 40, our metabolic rate — in other words our ability to burn calories — drops.

If I could go back in time and give my 39-year-old self one piece of advice it would be not to put on weight, because it’s so much harder to lose it in your 40s.

Losing weight in your 20s and 30s is simple: just eat a bit less, move a bit more. Back then, I ate whatever I wanted whenever I wanted, and I remained the same size — regardless of whether or not I gobbled chocolate eclairs every day. But this year, once I reached 40, everything changed. I noticed I needed alot more effort to keep those extra kilos in check.

After 40, it is just not possible to eat whatever one wants and drink copious — or even moderate — amounts of wine and stay thin. If one wants to maintain their size, one has no choice than to be even more disciplined.

So ladies for those of you who keep asking me for my secret of keeping the same size over decades now….. it´s simply being “very disciplined”.

I don´t drink alcohol, no sugar sodas, desserts only in moderate sizes and I eat lots of fruits and vegetables…..(but when away on vacation I do make an exception and I really eat and drink whatever I want!!! 🙂

Drink lots of water (at least 1,5 litres a day) and do some form of physical activities. I don´t like gyms( never been to one in over 20 years) but I love the outdoors and nature and so I go for very long walks in nature.



Summer vacations are now here so wish you all lots of fun in getting your summer bodies!!!!!!!!!
Remember, stay realistic and don´t pressure and stress yourself just to please society. Find your feel-good size and wear it with pride. Don’t compare yourself to others. That’s a battle you can never win!!!!
